Company in the News July 2026

PlayGround-Chicago Writers, Company Members, and Alumni are up to this June including: Karissa Murrell Myers, Shariba Rivers, and Katherine Swan.

Katherine Swan’s play Red Bell will have a staged reading at The Understudy on July 20 at 7:30 as part of the Freshly Brewed reading series. Reserve tickets HERE.

Karissa Murrell Myers’ play TWIN FALLS is a Semifinalist for the 2026 Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference. This play was written and developed during PlayGround’s Playwright Residency in 2024-2025.

Shariba Rivers is performing in the extended run of Theater of the Mind, an interactive play that explores how sensory perception works. Produced by The Goodman Theatre. Now playing through August 30th at the Reid Murdoch Building. Grab your ticket!
